What do the visa approval letter for VOA and E-VISA look like?
The Vietnam visa approval letter for Visa on Arrival (VOA) and Vietnam E-visa have different formats and appearances.
The Vietnam visa approval letter for VOA is typically a single A4 page with the name of the traveler, date of birth, nationality, passport number, type of visa, entry/exit dates, and other details printed on it. The letter also includes a visa approval code that is issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department. The approval code is unique to each traveler and is required to obtain the actual visa stamp at the airport.
Important notice:
Recently, from March of 2023, The Vietnam Immigration Dept has changed their format of VOA approval letter. The old format contained red stamp with handwritten signature of Immigration Officer. The signature and red stamp have been replaced by electronical signature (informing the name and the time of signing of the Officer) and Vietnam Emblem.
Below are the old format of the visa approval letter (before March 2023)
On the other hand, the Vietnam E-visa approval letter is typically an A4-sized document that includes a QR code and a visa code. The letter contains similar information as the VOA approval letter, such as the traveler's name, passport number, date of birth, nationality, visa duration, and entry/exit dates. The difference is that with the E-visa, the approval letter itself serves as the visa, eliminating the need for a visa stamp at the airport. Travelers will get an entry stamp instead.

Life-saving service, great contact! We needed visas for the next day on weekend and thought there is nothing to be done, but Evisasvn helped us and we arrived in Vietnam no problem! You have to wait a bit once you arrive, so prepare yourself to hang in for a few hours, but it can totally save your trip.
I appreciated the friendly and welcoming language and speedy response
EVISAVN.COM obtained my TAIWANESE friend's visitor's visa for Vietnam (much more complicated than the E-Visa available for most other counties). The service was extraordinary! Fast, clear and concise communication at all hours. I was a bit of a pain and they handled me with patience and kindness. There's no nonsense with pricing. You get what they promise in a timely manner and they offer support until you arrive. Highly recommended.
